With the new Permits+ update, you are now able to allow extensions on a permit
As a Wallet Admin user you can set a permit type to allow extensions.
When creating or editing a permit type, you have the option to 'Allow Permit Extension' so that issued permits can be extended when required. This allows contractors to continue work without needing to raise an entirely new permit.
To enable permit extensions, go to your settings and select Permit To Work Categories.

Then either create a new permit category or open the permit type you want to amend. On the category settings tab for that permit type, you’ll find an option that allows extensions to be turned on. Once enabled, any permits created under this type will include the option to extend the duration when they are being reviewed or managed.

Once you tick Allow Permit Extension you will also get the option to restrict extension time.

If you select restrict extension time you can set the maximum length that permit type can be extended for. If the permits maximum valid duration is set in days then the maximum extension will be in days too.

If the permits maximum valid duration is set in hours then the maximum extension will be in hours too.

Once you are happy click the Save Permit To Work Category button.
