[Permit to Work](https://support.work-wallet.com/management-portal-features?hsLang=en#permit-to-work) # How Do I Set A Permit Type To Be Extended? ## With the new Permits+ update, you are now able to allow extensions on a permit As a Wallet Admin user you can set a permit type to allow extensions. When creating or editing a permit type, you have the option to 'Allow Permit Extension' so that issued permits can be extended when required. This allows contractors to continue work without needing to raise an entirely new permit. On the category settings tab for that permit type, you’ll find an option that allows extensions to be turned on.
