How Does The Auto-Save Feature Work On The App?

When conducting an Audit, you may find you're walking around a site that has poor or intermittent signal. With the Auto-Save feature this will allow your in-progress Audits to save locally on your device.

If your device loses connection or you leave / force quit the app during an inspection, your progress won’t be lost. The app automatically saves your work every 2 seconds and creates a draft of your audit.

When you return, you’ll see a “Resume Draft” button, allowing you to continue from your last saved point.

Drafts held locally

If you press the X in the top left corner rather than saving, the app will ask you if you would like to save your changes or discard the changes made.

This is to prevent accidental leaving of the audit without saving your changes made.

If you try to edit an audit that already has a draft saved on your device, the app will prompt you to choose what to do. You can either continue working from the existing draft or discard it and start making new changes.

When working offline, your inspection is saved locally on your device until a stable internet connection is available. Once the app reconnects and syncs your data to the cloud, a sync icon will appear next to your inspection.
