What are the features of the December 2025 Permit + Update?
The new features of the Permits module update provide the ability to fully customise your Permit workflow and include new components. Also the ability to extend and to reject/request changes to a draft permit.
Updated Components
Our new Permits have some great new features for you to use in the workflow builder. There is an extended range of components you can add to your Permits, including branched questions.

Components Added:
- Workflow Branch
- Number
- Date Picker
The Instructions component (previously known as Text) has been updated to allow you to include supporting images.
Extending Permits
With Permits + you can now set particular permit categories to allow for extension. This would then allow your users to extend permits for a length of time by setting a new expiry and adding a justification.

Permit Feedback & Rejection
Also with the Permit + update you can reject a permit and request changes. Allowing you to send feedback and request amends from the permit requestor.

Image Analysis
This new detection feature will flag if uploaded images on permits are reused images or if they are old photos.
