Audit Templates can be used to create branded PDF reports for your Audits that only include the information you want to display.
Alongside Work Wallet's System Default template, you can create and edit your own Audit Design Templates from the settings menu in the Work Wallet portal. Click Audit - Design Templates to see a list of current templates.
You can create a new template by clicking Create an Audit Design Template, where you can then upload the document you want to use as your new template. Templates must be uploaded in Word Document format, and include system tags where you want dynamic data to be shown.
TIP: Download the system's default template as a starting point to create your own branded version.
In addition, there are a few options to choose for how your template will be rendered into PDF.
- Style: Choose how you want your Scored Response components to display the selected option.
- Text: Choose how you want the Scored Response components text to be rendered.
- Images: Choose the design style of images included within the report.
How can I customise the Word Template?
The Word template can be customised using any standard Word functions, such as background colour, static and positioned images, text colour, and more to create a custom branded template. To get your Audit data to display, you will need to use the system tags and table structures referenced on your template edit screen.
These tags when placed in your document will show where the corresponding data will be placed when the report is generated. An example can be seen below:
In addition to simple system tags, there are also system tables you can include which can be modified. These include the core results of your Audit, or various scoring areas.
Caution: For your table to render, you must include the table system tag as a row at the top of the table. This will not be rendered in the final PDF output.
An example can be seen below:
What fonts can be used in an Audit template?
Currently, only default Windows fonts can be used in your templates. If you do choose a bespoke font in your Word template, this will fall back to the closest matching style available. Please see a current reference of fonts available.
How do I associate a template with an Audit Type?
To specify an Audit template to be used, you can choose the applicable layout in your Audit Type settings. This allows you to specify different templates for different Audit Types if required. If you choose 1 template to be available, this will be automatically selected when users are completing the Audit. If no template is specified, or if multiple templates are available, the user will be able to choose a template when creating their Audit.
